Have just been at Ruby and Madame Hawke spring summer launch, after countless circuits and deliberations and yummy Ruby O later, I have a large hole in my wallet but some very exciting pieces on order! Can't waaait. Yay it is finally hump day Wednesday!

My absolute absolute favourite right now is Alexander Wang - can you tell? I find him incredibly amazing and intriguing - he is TWENTY SIX for starters, and happened to involve himself in the exact niche that was missing out of the American society  - casual, cool, and downtown, the perfect MOD (Model off duty) look. His bags are to die for and his shoes are killer, and I could talk all night about him, but I won't.

In the wake of Alexander Wang being named the Best New Menswear Designer by GQ and the CFDA, not to mention the opening of his first ever flagship store, the designer will launch his first ready to wear men's collection this fall. This launch has been highly anticipated ever since his first hint of casual menswear in his T collection three seasons ago. Expect to see Wang's signature style - "It started with a lot of utilitarian references, something that I've always felt a close attraction to. And the idea of mixing - I've always liked to take something very dressy and bring it down; take something very casual and elevate it". This translates to suit pants that are actually tracksuit bottoms in utility nylon or leather, outerwear as traditional overcoats tricked out with varsity-jacket leather sleeves. Sports jackets in wool felt, slubby sweatpants with baggy, knee-length leather shorts.

112 hanging on to every heartbeat

Oh. my. god I just spent one and a half hour cleaning my fave boots which just got ridiculously mud covered in the weekend and in my apparent state I couldn't be bothered with them until tonight. Instant regrets, a bottle of leather conditioner (which has lasted me 3 years until now), some freakin hard out elbow grease and 40 (FORTTYY??) papertowels later we have new as new boots again soft as a baby's bum. These are my Maurie and Eve boots which have scored as many compliments as uncompliments. I love them.



And speaking of baby's bums how CUTE is Alexander Wang's baby niece. I am obsessed with this photo and I know all of you are too!!!! Move over Suri you would lose in a fashion fight to this sweety.

Busy busy week this week, tomorrow I am lucky enough to be helping out at the Ruby and Madame Hawke SS11/12 range launch which is super exciting! I can tell you it is all A maazing, start saving your pennies. And Friday going to a show at the Department Store with my homeboy Howie. Among countless days of work.. Stay tuned x

111 emily baker for mi piaci and my new shoes

Obsessed with my new shoes from Mi Piaci - Tessa observed they are pretty creepers and (after finding out what creepers were) I totally agree! They remind me of all things old school, and the pointy toe, fringing and chunky foam sole (especially the chunky foam sole) are a pretty magical mix for a good solid flat pair of shoes. In fact now I can very much channel my inner school girl thanks to these. Mi Piaci/Overland have always done brilliantly in nabbing top models - this is Emily Baker in Mi Piaci's latest winter campaign, after just 6 months of modelling and just before she jetted overseas to score 60 shows FTW this season including Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga. Side note - the following photos do not do her razor sharp cheekbones any justice.

Japanese magazine Popeye offers its latest editorial showcasing Thom Browne's Spring Summer 2011. At Tokyo's National Stadium, Junji Hata photographed the animated performance of a group of male models including our very own Aiden Andrews. Never one to shy away from uniform, the unusually clean stadium backdrop hints at America's glory days of high school, while the rest is left to Browne - signature red whites and blues, the patch pocketed blazers, saddle shoes and knee high socks - a lot of which can be seen followed through to his latest Fall 2011 collection. The result is a crisp and classy display of some suit-ed up boys having a good time.

haven't been able to keep my hands off these things recently! quite quite literally in many senses.

ruby's flying foxes. goes where i go, so nice to touch... he is actually like a little companion. and makes me a lot more aware of where i put my bag now..


whittaker's dark chocolate peanut slab. sooo addictive! can't stop eating these nom nomz


mac 'dubonette' lipstick. i've become obsessed with this colour. it works with everything and for every occasion, just amazing. burgundy with a slight shine, not too little not too much. and of course dior grey nail polish. the most perfect colour as we head into autumn, and the tone is just spot on! was looking for ages for a muddy grey and this is the only shade that did it for me. everything else is too washed out, or silvery, or something like that.


and now for the wishlist... i also love love the blue


my favourite ring from d_luxe's new campaign, in fact it is all fantastically executed.


can't wait to get these in a couple of months! priceless i say!! i have been trying these on everyday for the past week..
