Wow Ruby Boutique have come a long way, and after todays show I think it is only up up up from here! The brand has grown up a lot since their baby days; this collection has matured from their trademark girly chiffons and floaty shapes to a sturdy semi-sporty winter collection full of gorgeous thick wools and seductive textures.
The range showed off a hard working, 1960s girl on a bit of an adventure. Mustards, navy/cream box checks, and alluring forest greens set the canvas for a *bright eyed and bushy tailed* winter collection ;) For the fashionable mountaineer - stunning stiff pleated wool skirts, panda print wool knit jumpers, plaid pants (must have), and of course their superb winter coats, were teamed with hiking socks and brown suede boots. It still of course had that girly girl aesthetic which Ruby gets *perfect* every time - cheeky mustard bike shorts with scalloped edges (amazing) worn under a sheer two toned mauve jumpsuit with elasticated bottoms, plaid double-ruffled short shorts, full feathery fringed belted mini dresses worn with new Ruby gold heeled pumps,.. not to mention the gorgeous models with their soft blow waved hair and sexy bright red lippy. The catwalk was snuggly lined with sheepskin (is it sheepskin?) rugs, perfect for a midwinter celebration over the deeelicious Ruby O and yummy Waiheke Island toasted muesli.
Highlights:
